Digital Hot Spots Where Horses and Virtual Work Come Together

The U.P. is known for its rugged beauty, green forests and clear waters. One could stand, coffee in hand, looking over miles of lush farm fields cut into the forest and within 10 minutes be at the center of city to get a hot refill. From hundreds of miles of trails to affordable housing it is this outdoor charm that draws visitors. Market changes in digital infrastructure increases appeal of "connected" rural vacation areas as it spawns a whole new generation of professionals who desperately crave work-life balance; for some of that it is work-horse balance.  Digital jockeys interested in post-COVID hot spots that opportunities to buy horse farms with the digital capacity they need to maintain professional employment might want to consider Delta County Michigan.

Few places offer better opportunities to walk your horse under a canvas of stars while still being able to maintain a virtual job that keeps you "plugged" in. While it is often difficult for horse lovers to find a healthy balance, The U.P. provides a place where virtual work meets affordable horse farm property.

In Delta County you work by solar from your favorite campsite or sit in your downtown café. Straddling the physical and virtual world lets you reap the benefits of both. After riding the snow covered back country, a few simple pleasures like sitting next to fireplace catching up on work are needed respites (checking Facebook, stocks, news or whatever.)

Tip: EPMC is working on a long-term project to help entrepreneurs find new ways of conducting and competing on the global market. EPMC was start in part to do that. What this is called is content marketing. It is when you begin to use content and specific information to attract interest on the web. The search engine spiders and algorithms place a higher value on quality content.

Using Cartoons for Advertising: Yolo Polo

Consumers are bombarded by thousands of advertisements a day and getting through this "noise" can be very difficult. Sometimes you may want to explore other ideas that are not conventional. In this case, I'm trying to utilize art and creativity to develop an effective cartoon advert that can be easily shared and used on social media. The art took a little time but I think you can do well making your own but you may want to pay for it if you can't come up with something that works.

Why a Cartoon?

Cartoons are colorful and people often think in terms of pictures instead of words. Thus, the information is processed quickly and our brain naturally gravitates toward things we understand more quickly. There is a reason why the pictures in advertisement often get more intention than words alone.

Escanaba Polo Mallet Company is a good works start-up business that not only donates profits to good causes, it also wants to help others learn to develop their own businesses. This is one of the reasons why this article is written (it also helps advertise the business/content marketing).

There are not a lot of polo companies and not a lot of polo cartoons. With that knowledge, and the need to create a brand, I put together a cartoon to post on social media. The goal is to create "share-ability" where people find value in the cartoon and expand its reach.

Content?

Its helpful to have cartoons relate to things people are thinking about and talking about to make it relevant. For example, my target marketing (i.e. young professionals and polo players) may understand putting together budgets and the frustration associated with it (whether corporate or their own). The news is flooded with budget issues on the state level.

While you create cartoons to understand an idea and create some "buzz" it should not go too far into the politics. In this case the use of "budget" means any kind of budget. Don't go so specific that you risk getting politically involved and in turn limit readership interest. People will read into it as much as they see fit as symbolism push cognitive depth.

Delta County Manufacturers May Want to Consider Manufacturing Extension Partnership

Re-developing Delta County Michigan's local manufacturing as well as finding new opportunities rests on the ability to obtain contracts. Small manufacturing business do not always have the ability or manpower to scout out new contracts. Having the information in one place where small manufacturers can review available work leads to new projects, revenues, and jobs that helps the local community.

The White House has initiated new pro-American manufacturing emphasis that gives preference to American suppliers. Delta County businesses might consider scanning this database and coordinating their efforts to meet some of these manufacturing opportunities. You can read more about it HERE

"The Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) is based at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The national Program Office (NIST MEP) which provides the federal government funding for the MEP National Network™ is located in Gaithersburg, MD. The MEP National Network comprises the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP), 51 MEP Centers located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, and its over 1,400 trusted advisors and experts at more than 385 MEP service locations, providing any U.S. manufacturer with access to resources they need to succeed."
