Why It Takes a Week to Make a Good Polo Mallet? Knowledge and Art

Creating a good mallet takes time—it’s as much an art as it is a science. It took us a couple of years to master the craft and consistently produce strong mallets that deliver high customer satisfaction. Our mallets are light, durable, and customizable.

Just like with any art form, rushing leads to mistakes, and that’s something we work hard to avoid. Custom work is different from mass manufacturing. Each piece is unique, with its own subtle variations and marks of craftsmanship.

We’ve developed enough knowledge that, if needed, we could walk into the woods and cane fields and, within a few weeks, build one entirely from nature. While we currently purchase our cane and wood, we still cut, straighten, and prepare every material ourselves. These come raw!

Steps in the process:

  1. Find and straighten cane

  2. Cut and sand heads

  3. Build handle

  4. Affix head

  5. Paint

  6. Apply protective wrap

  7. Package
