“When Quality Counts: What Happens to Our Removed Imperfect Polo Mallets”

(Illustrative only)
Quality improvement is a key part of what we do. At Escanaba Polo Mallet Company, every mallet is inspected, and anything that doesn’t meet our standards is pulled from the regular lineup. With custom handwork, small imperfections are inevitable, and sometimes the materials just don’t measure up—so removing those pieces is an important step.

We usually set these mallets aside and donate them to a local arena where new players are learning the sport. It’s our way of supporting polo in places where the game is still growing.

Recently, a customer reached out asking if we had any discarded mallets he could use for a display. We thought that was a great idea. We had a couple of imperfect shafts sitting off to the side, so we sent them to him at a discounted price. Now we’re hoping he'll share a photo of the finished display once it’s up. These are non-playing mallets—they’re not suitable for full-price, in-game use, but they work perfectly for decoration.

If you’d like to support our work, we’d appreciate you sharing our posts when you find them helpful and checking back regularly to see what we’re up to. You may want to look at some of our products, review the polo learning page, and research page.

Happy playing.
