The Trident Polo Mallet: handcrafted and three shafts

The Tripartite Mallet is unlike traditional polo mallets. Designed and built here at Escanaba Polo Mallet Co., it features three smaller shafts interconnected to form a single, strong shaft. Advantages and less than advantages.

This unique construction offers several advantages, including increased durability and a solid, consistent strike. The tradeoff is that it has less flex, or “whippiness,” than a standard mallet. Some players, however, prefer the additional stiffness and appreciate the way the mallet handles. Its durability also makes it an excellent choice for practice sessions and club use.

We enjoy experimenting with new designs, and the response to the Tripartite Mallet has been very positive. Customers who have purchased one have liked it, and we have not received any negative feedback so far.

Because each Tripartite Mallet is currently built individually, production takes about a week. The benefit of this approach is that we can customize the mallet to your preferences, including head color and overall length. There will be some small differences between mallets-the nature of hand crafted.

While the Tripartite Mallet feels somewhat different from a standard mallet—with a slightly different handle feel and a stiffer shaft—it offers a unique playing experience that may be worth trying if you're looking for something new and distinctive.
