Putting Products on Face Book: Polo Mallets Go Social

Gaining some reach through multiple market space locations is helpful. Recently I have made a push to sell more mallets and engage with the Polo community. It took some time to get the basic method and processes in place. Once you have something that is workable you will then need to sell it. That requires a level of exposure. 

While I'm not new to Facebook I haven't put a lot of advertisements up there. Ebay and Amazon were common and now that Facebook is at a level it is.....one should not ignore it as a potential avenue to sell their products. 

Compared to other marketspaces the process was relatively simple and painless. Whether or not it pans out as a potential site with significant sales remains to be seen. At some point I will try their promoted listing and see if that helps.

What Personality, Polo and Business Have to do With Team Development?

The world of business and polo is not so dissimilar. While such traits don't guarantee success they do foster the right team characteristics. Having both star performances mixed with the right team players can make a difference in overall outcomes as they are the supporters of the group. 

Long term success is in the development of the right team with the right personalities. A single player may be able to hit the ball or create a new venture from time to time but it is the total team that can produce results over and over in a way that leads to long term success. 

The next time you do some recruiting, whether polo or business, think about the softer side of people with a level of agreeableness as an untapped source of team formation.

Polo takes lots of practice and a commitment to the fundamentals. Many times I have stood at the side of a polo field and wondered "How do I become such a great player as them?"
